Our school is being used for a polling station in May & June this year.
We have organised a whole school trip to Conkers, near Ashby-de-la-Zouch on the edge of Derbyshire.
In order to try and minimise the impact this enforced closure has on you, we have planned a whole school trip (with the exception of Nursery children) for the 23rd June. We have booked a trip to Conkers. The coaches will leave school at 9am and return at 3pm to ensure it is as near as possible to the usual school times.
Children will need a packed lunch, should be dressed in old clothes, sturdy shoes/trainers ready for outdoor activities. There are facilities for indoor and outdoor activities, though a sun hat and rain coat may be needed to cope with the great British summer weather! They will not need any pocket money. The cost to you will be £10 per child. Please note that we are unable to offer any subsidies for those in receipt of free school meals or working tax credits on this occasion.
Reception Class and Year 1 and 2, and those in receipt of free school meals can order a packed lunch from the school. These will need to be ordered by 6th June.
We need to know if you wish for your child to be included in this trip by the end of term, 24th March in order that we can confirm final numbers to the venue and organise activities for the day, depending on numbers.
