Our whole school book this week is - Whatever Next......
We read our new book and learned all about the story.
We re-created the story ourselves in our Foundation Unit. We talked about the items we needed -
a cardboard box, a colander and a teddy bear. We had lots of fun flying our teddy bears into space! We also made our very own name rockets...look at our picture!
We learnt all about planets and made some passports for us to use in space.
Tigers & Leopards
We spent the morning working together in pairs, researching a planet of our choice, using our laptops. We then presented our work by powerpoint presentations. We all designed & constructed a rockets, and we attempted to launch them into space. As you will see from our pictures we only caught the after effects on camera on most of them! The end results were fab and the children had a blast!
Our Giraffes and Starfish have been very busy in the kitchen today. They had to read a recipe to see what ingredients they required for making their Space themed biscuits. Lots of fun was had by all making them. Please see our pictures
More ICT research carried out this morning by our astronauts. Take a look at them all in outer space........
Lots more fantastic design and artwork in classes today...look at the pictures of Starfish rockets, our Leopards and Tigers are making their very own pom-pom aliens and have also enjoyed creating their planet artwork using marbling techniques.
Our fresh fruit rockets were out of this world .....yum yum! Easy to make and a fab way to get the kids enjoying a fruity snack!
